ABOUT ME

My name is Anton Lieman

CAD Engineer specializing in fabrication-ready architectural and millwork systems under complex site conditions.

I began my formal education in civil engineering in 2008 at a leading technical university in Ukraine, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering four years later. During this time, alongside academic training, I developed a strong practical interest in working with complex materials and assemblies through hands-on experience in a family business focused on high-end custom wood furniture production. This early exposure allowed me to study wood characteristics in depth and gain a solid understanding of woodworking technologies directly in a production environment.

By combining engineering education with workshop-based experience, I developed a strong technical foundation that emphasized precision, material behavior, and manufacturability. This approach, together with a methodical mindset and attention to detail, led to my professional growth in the custom cabinetry and architectural millwork industry after relocating to Kyiv in 2014.

In Kyiv, I worked on technically complex, non-repetitive projects for residential, commercial, and specialty interiors. My responsibilities included engineering development, shop drawings for contractors, CNC file preparation, coordination of fabrication and installation, and structural calculations for metal and hybrid assemblies. The ability to bridge design intent with real-world production constraints became a defining aspect of my work.

My career later brought me to Austin, Texas, where I continued my professional development as a Lead Project CAD Designer in the U.S. custom millwork industry. Working on projects across Texas where I applied advanced AutoCAD 3D and SolidWorks workflows to deliver fabrication-ready documentation and parametric engineering solutions, translating European engineering principles into U.S. construction standards..

In the U.S., I have contributed to projects associated with architectural showcases and historically significant buildings, including work connected to projects recognized by AIA Austin and sites of architectural and cultural importance in Texas. These projects required careful coordination, high accuracy, and respect for both modern building systems and historically sensitive environments.

I am fluent in Ukrainian and Russian and continue to actively improve my English and German, reflecting my international professional background and ongoing commitment to clear technical communication across teams and disciplines.
